Thursday, October 1 at 07:00, the parties reached a recommended proposal. The first buses will be running from 12 noon, but the population should expect operational disruptions throughout the day, Yrkestrafikkforbundet writes in a press release.
The majority of the negotiating delegation recommends the settlement. The result of the negotiations will now go to a referendum for the members of the four organizations. If the proposal receives a majority of the total membership, the agreement is approved.
– We have more than doubled the original offer from the employer. General supplements totaling NOK 5.50 will be given as well as NOK 1 as a commercial certificate supplement in 2020, says Professional Traffic Association union leader Jim Klungnes.
– There is also a guarantee of 2.50 NOK in addition to the central supplement for the 2021 agreement that will guarantee an additional collection for bus drivers, says union leader at Fellesforbundet Jørn Eggum.
– We have shown the employer that we are serious and willing to put power behind the lawsuits. That will undoubtedly be present in 2022 as well, and we look forward to constructive collaboration to bring bus drivers to the course that has now been set. Furthermore, we have ensured that work on working time arrangements and safety measures will continue in this important profession through a work made up of a party, says Norwegian Railway Association union leader Jane Brekkhus Sæthre.
– The parties have made improvements to the agreement that prevent bus drivers from underperforming in coordinated agreements and subsequent interim agreements, such as in 2018 and 2019, says union leader at Fellesforbundet Jørn Eggum.
– We want to thank the population and our passengers for the massive support we have experienced through the strike. We have received thousands of comments from drivers speaking of spontaneous statements of support, applause and approval, says union head of bargaining Stein Guldbrandsen.
