About 300 people will gather near the congested area of Rosengård.
Violent riots broke out in Rosengård in Malmö on Friday due to the burning of the Koran involving a Danish right-wing extremist. Aftonbladet reports.
– The situation has turned into violent riots, says Rickard Lundqvist, spokesman for the Swedish police, to the newspaper.
No entry
It was members of the anti-immigrant and anti-Islamic party Stram Kurs who burned the Koran on Friday.
Party leader Rasmus Paludan was denied entry to Sweden for the demonstration. He was supposed to have attended a meeting in the square organized by Swedish street artist Dan Park, who had previously been convicted in Sweden of incitement against a group of people.
The plan was to burn a bacon-wrapped Quran, something Paludan has done several times before in Denmark. Instead, Paludan was barred from entering Sweden for two years, according to the Sydsvenskan newspaper.
Three were arrested
After Paludan was arrested, an unannounced demonstration took place at Stortorget in Malmö, where three people were arrested, according to TT, for kicking a Koran.
Fireworks were said to have been set off and objects were thrown at the police. In addition, several cars have caught fire.
– We have ongoing violent riots that we handle. We do not have the situation under control and it is disturbing throughout the area, Rickard Lundqvist, a police press officer, tells SVT.
