Neighbors who were not allowed to sleep and concerns about infection control led to many assignments for the police Sunday night.

– Unusual number of parties, Finnmark police write about Hammerfest on Twitter around 03 o’clock.

It was not only in the far north of Norway that the police had to move to ask party participants to find peace.

In Nordland, a party with 20 participants in a small dormitory ended just before midnight, and in Møre og Romsdal, the police had to visit the same address twice before the party ended.

– We were only there after complaints about party noise, and they were told to calm down. We came back again after new reports, which ended with the home owner and another man in his 20s being denounced for failing to comply with the police order and insulting a public official, says operations manager John Bratland in Møre og Romsdal .

In the western police district, they received 16 complaints of disturbing the night peace, private parties, and disturbing public order. The Police report that almost all the incidents attended to were resolved with orders and requests.

– There are many who have a house party that is noisy in the center of Oslo, we already see it. The Christmas holidays have started. There are probably more people calling now because they think there are more participants than there are, but we have yet to inform anyone for crown fractures, says operations manager Guro Sandnes in the Oslo police district around 02 o’clock.

A few hours later, the accounts for the night in the capital are ready.

– There have been 28 reports of alteration of the night calm since 23 hours last night. We have been to 18 of them, and the vast majority respected a verbal order to calm down, says Sandnes at 06:30.

However, it ended with two searches in Tigerstaden, one for disorderly conduct and one for obstruction of a public official.

A flash of light remains the lack of reports for violations of infection control rules, notes the operations manager.

– There have been no crown fines and it is rewarding, says Sandnes.

The parties in Tromsø, Askim, Narvik, Nedenes, Kolbotn, Ringsaker and Kristiansand were also over or ordered to calm down on Saturday night.

In Bodø, the police have ended the parties in several hotel rooms after repeated complaints from other guests.

– We receive a constant flow of messages. Some are people who have come home, but the ones from Bodø could probably be related to league gold. But people behave, says COO Mari Lillestø in the Nordland police district.

When police moved in to report party noise in Halden, they found more than just loud noise, police say.

– We basically sent a patrol there. There were several people who tried to flee the place and there was a great atmosphere so we sent two more, says assignment manager Jo Rennemo Jellum around 02 o’clock.

Police registered 17 party participants between the ages of 20 and 30.

– Then a small amount of drugs was found at the address. One person has been reported for possession and four other people who appeared to be under the influence and have been reported for drug use, says the head of tasks.

At 06.50, the figures for the night from the Eastern Police District are ready.

– There are no more than a dozen inquiries about what the party noise and crown concerns are in the district. The vast majority are resolved with verbal orders and advice on infection control, says operations manager Terje Nordang.

As in Oslo, the Eastern Police District has not reported anyone for

violation of infection control rules from night to Sunday.

– There have been several reports of parties throughout the district. There are combined reports of party noise and suspicions of more participants than should be strictly due to infection control, but there have been far fewer people than have been reported, Nordang says.
