In Norstat’s poll for Vårt Land, Sp scores 21.3 percent against conservatives 21.8 and Aps 21.4. This is an increase of 2 percentage points for Sp in Norstat.
This is the second time this month that the Center Party has reached such heights. In a poll conducted by Opinon on Dec. 9, the party received 22.2 percent versus 21.8 Aps, according to the Poll of Polls website.
Vedum steals voters from almost every party, but gets more from residents, shows Vårt Land’s nerve. 114,000 of those who did not vote in the previous 2017 parliamentary elections would now vote for the Sp. That’s 40,000 more than in November.
But precisely this makes the fall great for the Center Party, warns election researcher Bernt Aardal. These voters find their way to the electoral college much less frequently than others.
– FRP has been affected by this before. They were high before the elections and made that clear among the former residents, but on election day many of them did not vote, he tells Vårt Land.
For the other parts, there are minor changes. FRP gets 12.1 percent, a decrease of 0.5 percentage points. SV, on the other hand, may notice a 0.6 percentage point increase to 8 percent.
Both the Liberal Party and the Christian Democrats have yet to find themselves below the threshold with support of 3.1 and 3.8 percent, respectively. It also owes MDG and Red, with 3.8 and 3.3 percent.
The survey includes 952 respondents. The margin of error is between 0.9 and 3.0 percentage points. It’s bigger for bigger parties.
