Two new corona cases in Tromsø: 13 tested negative on a fishing boat

On Monday evening, the municipality of Tromsø claims that two people tested positive for covid-19. At the same time, 13 of the 14 people on board the fishing boat “Stormhav” have been confirmed negative, according to the municipality in a press release.

– The latest test, from a person without symptoms, is inconclusive and is not ready tonight, the press release states.

The two who have tested positive are a Polish worker living in another municipality, but staying in Tromsø. The other is a Norwegian living in Tromsø. Both have been isolated.

– Tromsø Municipality’s infection monitoring team is working to trace close contacts with both, these will be continuously quarantined pending test results, the municipality writes in the press release.

On Sunday evening, the municipality of Tromsø was informed that the repair ship “Stormhav” was heading for Tromsø. 12 of the 14 crew members had symptoms of coronary heart disease. When the ship docked in Breivika, the municipality’s infection team came on board to test the crew.

So now all samples, with the exception of one that is not clear, have tested negative.
