Two skiers reported that they had caused an avalanche east of Myrkdalen.
Report to the police on Twitter shortly before 2pm on Saturday.
– They are experienced mountaineers who have been on a journey to the summit. Both were carried away by the avalanche, but only one of them was buried. They both describe themselves as safe, says operations manager E claim Hellesund in the West Police District.

The two men are said to have freerided in the mountainous area of Reppane, east of Myrkdalen.
– One was partially buried in the snow, but the partner helped it loosen. Both are operating unharmed, but will be added by ambulance.
The mountain village of Myrkdalen claims that this has happened far from the ski resort. The ropes are located on the other side of the valley.
There is no suspicion that the avalanche has washed away others. There are no groomed trails in the area, and the two of you must have had a good overview of the area prior to the landslide.
– The men have stated that they haven’t seen anyone else on the tour, upstairs and downstairs, says Hellesund.

He says it was the two young men who reported it to the police.
– They did everything right when the accident occurred. And they were probably lucky too, emphasizes the operations manager.
The two men will be greeted by health personnel in the parking lot when they leave the area.
The avalanche hazard is set at Voss hazard level 2, that is moderate.
