The case is being updated.

The Municipality of Trondheim announces this in a press release Friday morning.

Of those infected, three are 10 years old, five 20 years old, one 30 years old, one 40 years old and two 50 years old.

Nine of the twelve are infected by known close contact, one is infected abroad, while the source of infection for two has yet to be identified, the municipality writes.

All infected have a mild course.

Three schools and NTNU affected

Three of those infected are schoolchildren and the following schools are affected: Charlottenlund Upper Secondary School, Strinda Upper Secondary School and Sunnland Ungdomsskole. Affected students and staff are quarantined.

Five of those infected are NTNU students.

A total of 935 tests were carried out.

Several of the contagion cases that have been detected in recent days may be linked to the Lille London nightclub.

On Thursday, the municipal chief doctor, Tove Røsstad, told Adresseavisen that he reinforces the assumption of a more contagious variant of the virus.

One admitted to St. Olav

St. Olav Hospital now has an inpatient with coronary disease. This was stated by the hospital on its website on Friday morning.

According to the hospital, the person in question was not admitted to the intensive care unit or on a respirator.
