Turns his back on Trump: – Massacre

The US presidential elections are fast approaching. November 3 is for Americans who have not yet voted at the polls.

In the White House sits a president who, despite the crown disease, conducts interviews, invites hundreds of people to see him speak, and not least, tweets. All in the hope of having four new years.

Still, Donald Trump is struggling.

In the latest CNN poll, Trump did catastrophically wrong. In the poll, he was up to 16 percentage points behind Joe Biden, a former vice president and Democratic presidential candidate.

Now, more Republicans are also avoiding the question of whether or not they support the president. Additionally, several of Trump’s are critical of the president’s handling of the crown pandemic.

The online magazine Politico lists several names who have recently avoided responding if they support Trump.

One of them is Texas Senator Ted Cruz. On Friday, he stated in an interview with CNBC’s “Squawk Box” that he is “concerned” about the election.

According to the magazine, he warned that the election could “be a bloodbath of Watergate proportions” for his party. The 1972 Watergate scandal ended with the resignation of President Richard Nixon. In the interview, Cruz also expressed concern about the elections, regardless of how voters view the pandemic and the country’s economy on Election Day.

Coronapandemien

Another name on the list is Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. According to the magazine, McConnell told reporters Thursday that he has not been in the White House for more than two months because he does not trust Trump and his administration follows infection control rules well enough.

– My impression is that your approach to this was different from mine, and what I insisted we do in the Senate. He was wearing a bandage and practicing social distancing, McConnell said according to Politico.

Trump questions avoided

Cruz and McConnell are not alone either. Sen. Martha McSally, however, chose to avoid the question.

McSally, a senator from Arizona, declined to comment on whether she is proud to be Trump’s supporter in a debate with her opponent Mark Kelly.

– Well, I am proud to fight for the people of Arizona in things like cutting taxes, for example, she responded rather, according to Politico.

It is also not the first time that Trump’s allies have not answered whether they support the president or not. Most recently, in June, Dagbladet wrote about how more and more people in the circle around the president of the United States are turning their backs on him.

“Confusion”

Trump’s handling of the crown pandemic also leaves his own in doubt.

Texas Senator and Republican John Cornyn recently stated that Trump no longer practices “self-discipline” to combat the coronavirus.

The magazine also quotes Cornyn as saying that Trump in his attempt to prematurely signal that the pandemic is returning creates “confusion” for citizens.

Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker is also unhappy with Trump’s views on Covid-19. He believes that Trump has been “extremely irresponsible” during the pandemic, as he has ignored the advice of experts, according to the magazine.

He boasts of his own handling

Trump and his administration, for their part, have praised the way they have handled the crown pandemic.

Although several Republicans now avoid responding if they support Trump, many Republican politicians still appear to support him. One of them is his own Vice President Mike Pence.

More recently, during the vice presidential debate between Pence and Democratic vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris, Pence declared that Trump has handled the pandemic correctly.

He emphasized that Trump’s decision to suspend all entries from China gave the United States a huge advantage in coordinating the response to driving, and that this saved hundreds of thousands of lives, according to NTB.

Opponent Harris said it didn’t work, citing more than 200,000 Americans who have died from the virus.

– I end of form

Even though both the president and first lady Melania Trump have been diagnosed with the coronavirus, Trump has also claimed that he is in good shape, and indeed “better than 20 years ago.”

On Saturday night Norwegian time, Trump also gathered several hundred people in front of the White House for a “law and order” event. It was only five days after he was released from the hospital.

The president was hospitalized with a corona infection for three days. The president of the United States spoke from the balcony of the presidential residence.

– I feel fantastic, how are you? the president told those present, who repeatedly shouted cheers against him.
