Liverpool, current league champions, have secured a recipe start to the season. The victory against Arsenal at Anfield, secures three victories in three games for Jürgen Klopp’s men.
– It’s a fantastic feeling, I just wish the stadium was full. But I am happy to contribute to the victory, Diogo Jota tells the BBC. He scored the 3-1 goal.
Liverpool opened fire on Anfield and had several opportunities to take the lead. The largest at 15 minutes, when Sadio Mané fired from just under ten meters.
The red jerseys controlled most of it, but took a strong cold shower after 25 minutes of play.
A big mistake by the Liverpool defense when Andy Robertson was about to serve the ball to Alexandre Lacazette, who slipped the ball behind Alisson.
But Liverpool returned the money.
Just a minute later, Mohamed Salah played on the edge, shooting goalkeeper Bernd Leno. On the way back, however, it was Mane who put the ball into goal.
Just ten minutes later, Liverpool had completed a restructuring operation. The ball went into the area, where it passed over Mane and right at the feet of Robertson, who scored and corrected the error a few minutes earlier.
Liverpool had several strong chances after the break, but could not improve the result, before the match approached full time.
Trent Alexander-Arnold put the ball in front of the goal, where Arsenal defender David Luiz headed the ball directly into Diogo Jota’s legs. He called and got to 3-1.
