– A truck has been stopped in connection with work in a residential area. It started rolling, says operations manager Dyre Antonsen at the Interior Police.
The driver was then out of the truck.
Antonsen says the driver tried to get into the truck and stop it, but the person was injured.
It is not known what caused the truck to start rolling.
– It’s too early to say anything about it, he says.

Neighbor Eilert Øverland witnessed the incident. Says the driver ran after the car when it started rolling.
– I called the ambulance immediately, says Øverland.
Another neighbor, Kjell Joar Rognstad, was meeting in Teams when he heard noise from outside.
It thundered, then the snow fell around the window and then I thought it’s probably not takras now.
Rognstad went out and discovered the truck that had taken away the neighbor’s shed. He says that it is good that there are no more injuries along the path that many travel.
– Here people come and go, and children plow, he says.
Work with road safety
The driver is an employee of the Arvid Gjerde AS company, which is based in Rauma on Møre og Romsdal. The company operates with road safety.
The general manager there, Marcus Brevik, has been in contact with the injured.
– I spoke to him on the phone. He has pain in one foot that is probably broken, says Brevik.
He says that it is a sad situation and that the most important thing now is to find out what happened.
Says a tow truck is on the way. He is also Operations Manager for Arvid Gjerde AS.
Unknown extent of damage
The driver was sent to hospital shortly after the accident. The person was then awake and conscious, but with an unknown extent of damage.
The accident occurred at Måsåhaugen in Lillehammer. It is a densely populated residential area east of the city center, in the direction of Sjusjøen.
The truck crashed into the shed of a house.
– The owner has been notified of what happened, says Antonsen.
Now the police will investigate the case, which is considered a work accident.
