– It is bad that people do not know their social responsibility towards other people whom they expose to risks. For some, the virus can have fatal consequences and it is all about taking care of them.
This is what Health and Wellness Director Helge Garåsen in Trondheim Municipality tells Dagbladet.
Describe the relationship as “very serious.”
– The person was tested in Trondheim and told to be quarantined until the test result was available. When the test result was positive, the person was told to isolate himself. The person in question later decided to refuse to provide close contacts and did not fulfill the isolation duty and left for eastern Norway, he says.
The person who has now been reported is a resident of the municipality of Lillestrøm, the municipality states.
– We consider that it is serious to expose others to the risk of infection and therefore we decided to inform. We are the ones who report and then the municipality of Lillestrøm follows up on the person.
A new infection record is expected: – Significantly worsened
Two reviews in two days
This is Trondheim Township Review Number Two in just two days. The report given to the police on Monday referred to a similar situation, where a person infected by the crown broke the isolation and participated in various companies, knowing that he was infected.
On Monday, the municipality of Trondheim also reported another person who declined to provide information about his close contacts. However, after a party with the police, the municipality decided that there was no basis for reporting.
Mayor Rita Ottervik told Dagbladet early Tuesday that she knows of several nearby municipalities that have had similar problems with people not wanting to give up their close contacts.
Ottervik emphasizes that there is no reason to withhold information for the infection tracking team, and that it only puts additional strain on the infection trackers.
– The information is confidential and nobody gets to know what it reports and that it has complied with this or that, said Ottervik.
The Trøndelag Police District is also clear that they are ready to crack down on violations of infection control regulations.
– The situation has deteriorated significantly, and we may have reached the point where we may have to prosecute and give examples to a greater extent, so that it has a preventive and educational effect on residents who do not comply with the orders given, he said the head of the police station. Arve Nordtvedt in the Trøndelag police district at the meeting of the presidency.

Waiting for new registry infection
On Monday, a new infection record was set in Trondheim with 64 new cases. In the past 24 hours, another 15 people tested positive, but the municipality believes the relatively low numbers only give a snapshot.
Garåsen believes that today’s tests will deliver another infection record.
– 7.5 percent of the tests we have carried out this weekend have been positive. On average, we have had 47 positives per day at Christmas, and indeed I expect a new infection record in Trondheim today, Garåsen said when briefing the municipality presidency on the situation on Tuesday morning.
– We are still in a very demanding situation. There is infection in many different settings in the city, which means that most people have to fine tune, he tells Dagbladet.
Infection in the environment of drugs.
The municipality of Trondheim has also been infected in the city’s drug environment, where there are now 11 people who have tested positive.
– This is closely followed and for most people it probably goes very well. However, there are some who have some difficulty staying at home at all times, making it demanding when they go out and do their usual activities as if nothing had happened. We monitor these in particular and also provide information to contact communities that an infection exists between them.
On Christmas Day, a number of new measures were introduced in Trondheim, and the municipality has previously informed Dagbladet that if they don’t work, the Oslo measures will likely be next.
– We are now at risk level three and we have also introduced a number of measures from level four, such as face masks and limited social contact, so we will see a little how this works before moving to the next level.
