The dog must be in good condition.

Published:

– He has no injuries, but he is very stressed and very cold, says veterinarian Stefan Feterik, and explains that the dog is fine under the conditions.

According to the vet, the toy poodle is one and a half years old.

He has been stationed as a veterinarian outside the avalanche area in Gjerdrum for the past two days.

– About an hour ago, I was called by the Eastern Police District, who explained that they had found a poodle that needed a thorough check, says Feterik.

Police confirm to Dagbladet that they found another dog in the avalanche area on Thursday, and that it was taken out with a rescue helicopter.

10 people have yet to be counted after the landslide, and police continually search helicopters and drones with thermal optics.

The vet says they have found the rightful owner.

– The dog was marked with an identification chip, which meant we were able to contact her, says Feterik.

– The last information I have is that the owner has received the dog, he says.
