A row house in Rosten, south of Trondheim, is in danger of collapse, Trøndelag police wrote on Twitter on Sunday afternoon.

Police believe the cargo structures in one of the four apartments have been destroyed as a result of the interior renovation. It is not known whether fast clay soil also influences the risk of collapse.

All nine residents of the four townhouse apartments were evacuated on Sunday, says Trøndelag Police District Operations Manager Trond Volden.

Kristin Moen is one of the evacuees.

She says the damage to the house has intensified in the last week, after neighbors began to notice a week ago that the construction of the house was damaged.

– Last night I heard rumble and crash. And then I woke up at 02 o’clock last night to more roar and din. And today we saw the slips down there, Moen says Sunday afternoon.

How are you right now

– I’m quite shaky and I can’t think rationally at the moment. The entire row of houses has been evacuated indefinitely.

The police were also called a week ago.

Tetel’s leader in the Trøndelag police district, Ketil Stene, says they would take no chances. As the situation has worsened in the last 24 hours, the police decided to evacuate.

– We have everyone who lives in line here, in danger of becoming more enraged, says Stene.

Police have been on the scene earlier this week, following a report that the home had been destroyed.

– Then it didn’t look like it does now, says Stene.

I’m not sure what happened during rehab.

The district team leader, Kristian Trøan, says that the damage to the house likely occurred during the rehab and that the district team has no reason to believe that something similar will happen to other houses in the neighborhood.

– We do not consider it to be a cause for concern, but we are waiting for the appraisers’ reports and that is there, says Trøan.

The row of brick houses was built 40 years ago, in 1980.

– I have lived here since 1987 and have never seen anything like it, says Trøan.

Police and firefighters are on the scene Sunday afternoon.
