Total confusion around the test message

The leader at the corona center in Tromsø does just that, reports NRK. In total, the call is aimed at just over 76,000 people.

This happens after 70 people have been placed in isolation in the municipality, many of them asymptomatic.

– I would recommend everyone to try on now. Then we have a chance to discover those who have no symptoms, says crown center leader Per Harald Korsmo.

This has generated queues at the Tromsø test centers. According to Mayor Gunnar Wilhelmsen, Monday’s queues were up to three hours.

Shortly after, communications director Pål Jakobsen arrives with a press release, in which he writes that the municipality of Tromsø do not encourages all residents to get tested.

– The mood is as it has been in recent days: if you have been in one of the places where there has been infection, we encourage you to take the test, it says in a press release.

– Several asymptomatic

Mayor Gunnar Wilhelmsen tells Dagbladet that they now hope to find more of the corona-infected with no symptoms.

– The reason the municipal chief is now asking everyone to get tested is that we have had several positive tests on people without corona symptoms, says Wilhelmsen.

He says they now have the capacity to test 800 to 1,000 people a day.

City Chief Physician Kathrine Kristoffersen informs Dagbladet that the call applies to those who meet the NIPH testing criteria.

– The testing criteria have not changed, and the municipality of Tromsø tests according to them, he says.

14 new cases of infection

The municipal superintendent states that there is no special concern for asymptomatic cases.

– It is known from before that a certain proportion are asymptomatic. Experience indicates that this also applies to this outbreak, he says.

Repeat the clarification at a press conference.

– What is the recommendation is in line with the FHI testing criteria. This means that those who dare to get tested are those who have been at risk of infection, because they are close contacts or have been in places with risk of infection. We encourage all people with symptoms to get tested, even when they enter or suspect an infection, says Kristoffersen.

Today there have been 14 cases of infection in Tromsø. One of them does not have a known transmission path.

On Sunday, 682 people were crowned in the municipality of Tromsø.
