This is confirmed by the lawyer for assistance to minors, Ståle Kihle, to TV 2. He says that it was the police who took the initiative of the meeting.

The meeting took place at the Lørenskog bailiff’s office on Thursday morning.

– What was the meeting about?

– I don’t want to comment on that now, says Kihle, who was present.

– Does this mean now that your clients want to go to further questioning with the police?

– No, he does not do it. The situation remains the same, says the assistant attorney.

Police Inspector Agnes Beate Hemiø in the Eastern Police District confirms the meeting, but does not wish to comment further on this to TV 2.

We know this about police evidence

Icy conditions

Anne-Elisabeth Hagen disappeared from her home on October 31, 2018. After a year and a half of investigation, Tom Hagen himself was arrested, charged with murder or complicity in the murder of his own wife.

He denies having anything to do with the case. After 11 days in detention, the Eidsivating Court of Appeal concluded that the evidence against him was not strong enough. Thus, the billionaire was released.

Since the arrest, the relationship between the Hagen family and the police has been icy.

Following the arrest, the children, through their assistant lawyer, have told TV 2 that they do not trust the direction of the investigation. The children believe that the police have had tunnel vision. They have asked that new investigators be brought into the case.

As a result of their perception of the investigation, the children did not want to give further questioning in the case.

Hagen’s daughter texted the police: “Don’t ever contact me again!”

– They have decided

TV 2 has previously published a letter in which one of Hagen’s daughters reaches a general agreement with the police.

– My clients are not afraid of the truth, but the truth is not that Tom Hagen carried out a kidnapping to kill his wife. They find it difficult to cooperate with someone they think has decided, development assistance lawyer Ståle Kihle previously stated.

In June, it emerged that Tom Hagen also did not want to conduct further questioning with the police. His defender Svein Holden later told VG that they did not see how this could advance the case.

Prior to this, the police told TV 2 that it had been difficult to cooperate with Hagen during much of the investigation.

Shortly after the statement, Tom Hagen interrupted the reading of an interrogation at Kripos in Oslo. The defender believed that the billionaire’s health was unsatisfactory. The police came out and called Hagen “a little seedy.”

On Thursday, Svein Holden told TV 2 that they should take a position on the issue if there is a new police investigation.

Last Friday, Tom Hagen was allowed to move into his home in Sloraveien 4. Svein Holden later stated that he wanted a private life.
