Raja met the American movie star in the Rauma area during a planned meeting on the filming set of the new movie “Mission: Impossible”, which is the seventh in a row.
– What Tom Cruise says is that there will be a bigger footprint of Norway in this movie than in the previous one, where they filmed at Pulpit Rock. There are several scenes from Norway in this movie, Raja tells NTB.
The culture minister says he has “spoken well” for them to return for the next film and reveals more details of talks with Cruise about a possible re-recording of the film.
– It may be in the Åndalsnes area, they said. They are also considering Hordaland, Lofoten, Vesterålen and Finnmark, says Raja.

Actor Tom Cruise says Norwegian authorities have made filming as easy as possible under the demanding conditions of the crown.
When Raja asks if he likes Norway, Cruise responds.
– If we like Norway? No, we love Norway.
Cruise also confirms that they are scheduled to return for the next film in the series and ends by thanking the Norwegian people.
– I just want you to know that it is a great privilege to be here. I speak not only on my behalf, but on the entire film crew. The people are absolutely amazing. Thank you very much, says Cruise.

Raja is now on her way to Molde and says it was fun and educational to be on the set of a big Hollywood production. They leave around 200 million crowns in Norway while they are here, according to Raja.
– This means that there are about 200 people who are directly employed in relation to production, says the Minister of Culture.
Raja does not hide the fact that he is a supporter of the American actor.
– I think I’ve seen every movie Tom Cruise has been in since Top Gun. Like all other Norwegians committed to action, I have seen every movie in “Mission: Impossible,” says Raja.
