Time winners in Northern Norway and Eastern Norway on May 17

– Northern Norway seems to be getting the best weather, Troms and Finnmark in particular. We expect low-pressure activity in the south, and will likely affect most of western Norway and Trøndelag and the mountainous areas, meteorologist at the Tone Christin Thaule Meteorological Institute tells NTB.

Thaule emphasizes that it varies a bit when the day is better. In Nordland, good weather is expected on National Day.

It is common for the weather on May 17 across the country to get colder than normal.

Windy but nice in eastern Norway

There should be little problem with all flags blowing in the wind in eastern Norway. It is reported to be good weather and it is not raining, but you may want to find shelter from the wind.

– There will be a small, strong breeze in the mountains and along the coast, says Thaule.

NRK and TV 2 begin their broadcasts on May 17 at 7:50 and 7 o’clock, respectively. If the weather is forecast, there may be more spectators from Trøndelag and western Norway than eastern Norway.

Winter is not over: Cold records in various places in Norway

– Gray and wet

– Southern Trøndelag and western Norway receive the most rainfall in southern Norway. There is mostly rain throughout the day. These aren’t terribly large amounts, but it’s not a very good day, says Thaule.

The danger of rain is also present in Møre og Romsdal. The rain will come as sleet or snow along the shoreline.

– It turns gray and wet. In the mountains, precipitation comes like snow, says Thaule.

Sun in the south

In Rogaland there is also a great risk that the bunad will get wet during the celebration of May 17 of this year.

In southern Norway, however, better weather has been reported. In Kristiansand you expect 10 degrees and cloudy weather. Here, too, there may be a little more wind than the May 17 weld will appreciate.
