Police believe they have taken the men behind the theft of 24 large outboards.
– The investigation led to the arrest of two men last night, says Kjell Idar Vangberg, sheriff in Nordhordland.
Taken with motors
He says the arrest occurred at 4 o’clock at night until Tuesday in Askøy.
– In the car, they had four outboards that we believe were stolen from Askøy shortly before, says Vangberg.
A third man was arrested in the morning.

The men are charged with theft of 24 outboards from last week until arrest.

- Overnight to Tuesday, three large engines disappeared at Flesland in Bergen.
- On Wednesday night, four outboards were stolen from the Alvøen.
- Overnight through Friday, May 8, three large engines were stolen from Rossland in Holsnøy.
Overnight, five outboard engines were stolen from a dock in Snekkevika east in Radøy overnight.
They are also accused of the latest thefts of four engines at Askøy.
Police have previously stated that they believe the robberies are organized and that the outboard motors are being shipped out of Norway.
million worth
– The men are over 20 years old. I have no nationality about them here and now, but they are of Eastern European origin.
Vangberg has previously estimated the value of the first 15 engines at NOK 2.5 million.
In arrest
– What led to the arrest?
– We have worked thoroughly and prioritized this matter. I have to praise the work of a principal investigator, Vangberg replies.
He says the men are in custody. The attorney must decide if they should be prepared for custody.
