Those who live alone should only have two or three around physically – VG

The Norwegian Institute of Public Health believes that people interpret the term “their loved ones” very differently. Now they are tightening.

– Several infection control councils have been strengthened in recent days. Depending on the increase in infection, further hardening can be expected in the coming days, writes the National Institute of Public Health on its website.

These are the new tips:

  • All close contacts should be tested. It will not shorten the quarantine period, but rather speed up the tracking of the infection around the infected.
  • Quarantined adults should be kept away from other adults in the home to avoid spreading the infection. There are certain requirements for a proper quarantine location.
  • People who are already in quarantine when they experience typical COVID-19 symptoms (respiratory infection with fever, cough, wheezing, or loss of sense of taste or smell) are considered “probable COVID-19 cases” until test results are available. Members of your household must be in quarantine pending test results.
  • The time is updated before peeling. The main rule is that you can be undressed 10 days after the onset of symptoms, if you have not had a fever in the last 24 hours.

In addition, it is specified what is meant by “your loved ones”. Is:

  • Those with whom you live and girlfriend.
  • Those who live alone should only have two or three physically close people. They should be the same people over time.

“Your closest”

FHI explains to VG that they have seen the need to clarify what is in the concept.

– The reason we emphasize this is that we see that who is defined as “your closest” is interpreted very broadly and differently, says Chief Physician Trude Margrete Arnesen in FHI to VG.

She explains that this is independent of other orders and recommendations, such as that in private homes you should not have more than five guests or the Oslo City Council that you can have a maximum of ten social contacts during a week.

– We are talking about those with whom you can interact normally. If you have five people at dinner, you shouldn’t be physically around them anyway, Arnesen says. The wording “two-three” was chosen because it was necessary to quantify what we mean by “a few”.

FHI is concerned that even those who live alone may have normal contact with someone.

– We emphasize that even those who live alone can have someone around, but it should only be a couple of pieces, not 20 or 30, says Arnesen.
