Labor increases the volume of the state budget by billions. Labor leader Jonas Gahr Støre stands up for him to the youth of today, who will receive a pension from the oil fund in the future.

On Thursday morning, Jonas Gahr Støre and Hadia Tajik will present Ap’s alternative budget for next year.

It shows how they would have ruled Norway if they had decided today.

After the government in its editorial of the state budget proposes to use a record use of oil money, the Labor Party surpasses it with 13 billion crowns.

The government’s proposal is to spend NOK 331.1 billion.

Støre defends spending so much oil money now, because we are in the middle of the crown crisis.

– Retaining it now can become more expensive over time. Repairing with casts when the waterfall bleeds is a bad strategy. Better to use the muscle early on and cut it down a bit, than to get too little and throw more along the way. This is done to make Norway come back faster with low unemployment and high activity in the business sector.

– Do young people today like to use the oil fund as one? sareptas jars?

– It is a great responsibility to use oil money, because it is the saving of future generations. But I also hear from economists who say that the damage that can be inflicted on Norway by permanently high unemployment, does more damage for future generations than if we could now quickly return to normalcy.

– Next year he will probably present a state budget proposal together with SV, which will raise taxes quite a bit. How much will taxes go up with you as prime minister next year?

– I will answer that question from here to the election referring to which is the scheme of Ap, adapted to the time in which we live.

– With SV in government next year, will there be tax increases?

– The Labor Party will fight for its tax regime.

– Are you saying that a Støre government will not increase taxes in Norway?

– These are the ambitions I have for the state budget in 2021.

The Labor Party proposes a crown package of more than 14.7 billion NOK in its alternative budget.

The largest item of $ 3.4 billion is intended to reintroduce vacation pay to people receiving unemployment benefits.

Free for young adults

The Labor Party will spend NOK 250 million to expand the public dental health service for young adults and expand reimbursement plans for those with special diagnoses and weak finances.

According to the Labor Party, this means free dental health for people aged 19-21 and half the price of treatments for those aged 22-25.

In addition, the Labor Party will spend an additional billion to reduce deductibles.

They will introduce a common exemption card at the same level as the current maximum deductible limit 1.

This means that people using the two current exemption cards will receive a relief of SEK 2,176 per year. While those who only reached the ceiling on capital ceiling 1 will pay 723 kroner less than the government proposal.

More expensive CO2 tax

The labor force will increase the CO2 tax by 10 percent annually until 2030, with the exception of gasoline and diesel.

They will increase that tax by five percent each year through 2025.

According to the Labor Party, this will result in a reduction in emissions from 100,000 to 200,000 tons of CO2 in 2021.

In its tax promise, the Labor Party says that no tax will increase without other taxes or fees being reduced accordingly.

– Therefore, we reduce the tax for people with low and ordinary income, writes the Labor Party in the budget document.

Cut the HRS bracket

Labor also wants to do the following:

  • Having children in kindergarten will be more than 2,800 crowns cheaper. First graders will receive free SFO five hours a week, as a start. This means almost NOK 7,200 lower expenses for SFO per year.
  • They want to cut state support for the Human Rights Service organization; According to the Labor Party, this gives a saving of 1.8 million crowns.
  • The lower deduction: the wealth tax for the richest will increase, while an increased lower deduction will mean that only wealth above NOK 1.7 million will be taxed.
  • The Labor Party proposes to introduce VAT on electric cars that cost more than 600,000 crowns.
  • The Labor Party will have a much higher investment in education for more people and proposes 3,000 new places of study in 2021 and an investment in vocational subjects of NOK 1 billion over four years.
  • The Labor Party proposes to increase the defense budget by NOK 500 million so that the Armed Forces can employ 500 more in 2021.
