This is how he remembers his best friend Ari a year later – VG

Per Heimly, one of Ari Behn’s best friends, writes on Facebook on Friday, exactly one year after Ari Behn took his own life.

– I have thought about you every day and shed many tears, because suddenly the pain seizes me like a speck on the forehead, writes Heimly.

He and Ari Behn were friends for several years, among other things, they were both part of the “Den nye come” gang that had their hangout at the Theater Café. In the early 2000s, Per Heimly sold several images of Ari Behn to see and hear, and that led to a period of hostility. But a few years later, they became good friends again, and they met seriously in public when they made the TV series “Ari and Per” together in 2011.

Heimly has praised Ari Behn multiple times over the past year. Not only in the memoirs he published in the days after Behn took his own life, but also in relation to his birthday. He then wrote the following tribute on Instagram with a photo of him and Ari:

«Somehow you were never very good at celebrating your own birthdays, you were more concerned with celebrating others. Don’t spend a day without you being with me. I miss you so much, dear blood brother …».

On Friday, Per Heimly writes on Facebook that he still does not understand that his best friend is gone: “Many times I have been about to call you, to share ideas and ask for advice. But I feel that you are with me all the time, in my dreams and in my actions. I have made you a place in my heart, where you will always live.
