Authorities indicated on Sunday that the boxes containing data on the positions of the aircraft and communication with the owners of the aircraft have been located.
Earlier Sunday, police spokesman Yusri Yunus said remains had been found off the coast.
Yunus told Metro TV that sacks containing human remains and belongings have been collected.
On Saturday, the Indonesian Navy located the city where the plane crashed in Lake Java. All ships in the area were sent to the city.
On Sunday, a military vessel received a signal from the plane.
The remains have also been found and transported ashore in Jakarta. They were found at a depth of 23 meters.
– We have received a report from divers that the lake is clear, so we can see parts of the aircraft, says the chief of the Air Force, Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto.
Search teams already discovered debris at sea on Saturday, but could not confirm at the time whether they were from the lost plane.
The fishermen also said they had found what would be the wreckage of a plane off the small island of Malé.
Four minutes
The plane was a Boeing 737-500 and belonged to the Indonesian low-cost airline Sriwijaya Air.
He had route number SJY 182 and lost contact with the airline’s owners shortly after taking off from Soekarno-Hatta airport in the Indonesian capital Jakarta on his way to Pontianak in Borneo in Indonesia.
It is a flight that normally takes approx. 90 minutes. Most of the trip passes by Lake Javasjøen.
According to Flightradar24, the plane lost more than 10,000 feet in less than a minute, roughly four minutes after taking off at 2:36 p.m. local time.
62 people on board
Adita Irawati, a spokesperson for the Indonesian Ministry of Transport, said the last contact with the plane was on Saturday at 2:40 p.m. local time.
There were 56 passengers and a crew of six on board the plane. Ten of the passengers were children, according to Transport Minister Budi Karya Sumadi. The 26-year-old plane had room for about 130 passengers.
Sriwaijaya’s chief of flights, Jefferson Irwin Jauwena, said the 26-year-old had made two flights that same day.
“According to the maintenance report, everything looked good and the plane was in flying condition,” Jauwena said.
He adds that the departure to the plane was delayed because of bad weather, and not because of a problem with the plane.
Various closures
On October 29, 2018, 189 people lost their lives when a Lion Air 737 MAX 8 plane crashed into Lake Javasjøen 12 minutes after leaving Jakarta. The missing aircraft now is not a 737 MAX aircraft.
In 2014, 162 people were killed when an AirAsia plane crashed in Indonesia.
