It has been a busy night for the police in various parts of the country.

The case is being updated …

During the night, fireworks have been fired at both houses and people. Episodes of violence have also been reported throughout the country.

On New Year’s Eve, the Finnmark police broke up a party in which between 40 and 50 young people gathered in the same apartment. Some of them were under 18 years old.

Their parents were contacted. A case is being brought against the owner of the apartment, the police write.

In addition to the big party, there have been many less serious incidents during the night. This is what COO Tarjei Leinan Mathiesen says at 09.10.

– Above all we have worked all night with riots and parties over. We have given orders to the people.

There have been several meetings in which there have been more people than the recommended ten.

– There has been a lot of intoxication and fantasy, perhaps more than it has been in recent years.

States of the “wild west”

In Drammen, a group of young people in their 20s have set off fireworks among themselves. Two people were injured, but none were seriously injured, according to Operations Director Øystein Eikedalen.

They also report on the “Wild West” conditions in Kongsberg with fireworks launched in all directions, as well as on illegal snowmobiles.

– An organizer and 14 participants of the party drove drunk with a snowmobile and fired fireworks horizontally. We have secured a video there.

The snowmobile has been seized and the 15 people have been reported for violating infection control rules. The organizer has been fined NOK 10.00 and each of the participants has been fined NOK 5,000. The group is made up of men and women in their mid-20s to 19-years-old.

– It seems extremely unnecessary to continue doing that in these times. They seem to be relatively indifferent when it comes to compliance with infection control rules. We want to make it clear that it is not appropriate to continue like this in these times, says the operations manager.

A telemarking can expect a strong reaction from the police after celebrating the New Year with rifle shots, reports NTB.

– We received a phone call from neighbors in Eidanger that a man in his 40s burned several rifle shots from the terrace and moved out, operations manager Trond Egil Groth in the southeast police district tells NTB.

Police confiscated several firearms at the scene.

In Sandefjord, a man is seriously injured after a violent incident at a family party on Friday night.

Two brothers fought at a family party outside the center of Sandefjord at 2.30. Vestfold Police are investigating the case.

Rocket launching ban

In Oslo, the police responded to a report of a man lying on the ground and injured. There were screams and screams ahead. They also moved to fight in Brugata. But the Oslo police report no serious incidents and say it was an affordable night.

– We were excited about how the night should be considering that the municipal fireworks were canceled, says operations manager Tor Grøttum.

Inside Ring 2, there was a total ban on firing fireworks.

– There were several hundred people gathered in the town hall square, without there being more work for us. It is clear that not everyone has realized that there were no fireworks.

– We have 48 messages between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. dealing with fireworks and 25 messages about disturbances in public places.

Various fires

– In general, I can say that it has been very busy in the West Police District. Big and small. Everything from the poisoning and disorder to the course of the fire, says Stine Mjelde, operations manager in the West Police District to VG at 09:00.

– We had four fires. One in Hatlestad, Ytrebygda and two in Askøy.

Mjelde talks about a lot of irrational use of fireworks and disorderly conduct, but says there have been no incidents that have stood out in particular.

– We have no injuries from fireworks. We had an accident involving fireworks last night. There was a person who hurt his hand, but that was before the New Year celebration.

In Troms, a single-family home was set ablaze by an emergency rocket on wild roads, but here the fire brigade quickly gained control, according to operations manager Per Arve Aas.

Grass fires are also reported at several locations in Troms, including one in Dyrøy caused by rockets in dry grass.

Similar reports have also come in from the Nordland police district.

– All of them are probably caused by fireworks, the police write about the grass fires in Bodø.

In Lørenskog, the police have responded to reports of fights and several people firing fireworks at people in a parking lot near the Triad.

In Stavanger He has a single-family home on fire and six residents have been evacuated. It is currently unknown what caused the fire. Sør-Vest police also responded to a report that a person had been beaten on Olav’s door. The person received a cut over the eye.

Agder Police reports much irrational use of fireworks and several minor fires.

A quieter celebration is associated with the crown

Trøndelag police, for their part, report quieter conditions than usual.

– It has been a very affordable New Years Eve, says Operations Manager Trond Hangaas.

According to him, the celebration this year has been quieter than previous years.

– It seems that people have taken seriously the calls that apply to infection control and corona.

– For Trøndelag in general, we have 18 reports dealing with fireworks. Some of the messages refer to people shooting at ground level and other people.

– It’s been a traditional New Year’s Eve with complaints about parties and rockets, says Møre og Romsdal Police District Operations Manager Roar Fylling.

It says the most serious incident occurred in Kristiansund on Thursday night.

– There were four young people gathered in an apartment. One of them had a knife and stabbed two of those at the party.

– They have received treatment and no serious injuries have been reported.

Police were notified of the incident at ten o’clock. Police and an ambulance quickly arrived at the scene.

New Year’s Eve has been busy but quieter than usual, according to Operations Manager Tom Sandberg in the Eastern Police District. Before the New Year celebrations, the police requested not to light fireworks in the landslide area in Gjerdrum.

– We have not received any release reports from there, and we are satisfied with that.
