In Trondheim, he presents the current performance “The Christmas Gospel – When #metoo Came to the Bible”. It will air on the fourth Sunday of Advent at 9:00 p.m.

– What’s so funny is that you find solutions in a pandemic. It is a production that costs many millions of crowns, but we have succeeded!

It is the Det Nye Teateret in Trondheim that prepares the show. According to the press release, this is a newly written satirical musical comedy signed by Mads Bones, Olve Løseth and Kyrre Havdal.

You only get one chance

“The performance is based on what happened in the days when a thirteen-year-old virgin was melted into fat by her heavenly father millions of years older,” he says in the press release.

Lisa Tønne must be Josef himself. She says these musicals typically have an eight-week trial period. This they have rushed together in three.

– It’s stress, but it’s fun stress, it becomes very intense. You end up in the bubble completely, so it becomes a feeling of emptiness when you finish, she says.

– Here too we only have one chance, and then we have to hit the board. It gives a little scary.

But he likes to work that way and he boasts a lot about all the good people.

– When everyone does their job, you move mountains, he says.

– I was furious

Now she’s excited about the show, but stress has had to build on Tønne. I was home in Oslo the first weekend in December, and then it was very important to get back to Trondheim on time. But when he got to Gardermoen a little late, his patience was put to the test.

– Oh, pandemic-pandemic! The airport train suddenly didn’t run every ten minutes, so we got to the airport a bit late. My daughter and I ran to search our luggage, and I swear, we were only a minute late at that vending machine, she says, continuing:

– I ran to the staff and asked if they could help me, but they refused! They stood there uncomfortable, their arms dangling at their sides.

And then it quickly began to boil on Tønne’s head.

– He was so furious! I was so frustrated that I couldn’t miss another day of rehearsals. But I said I realized it was my fault that I was late. Still, no help was available, he says.

Crying for help

– Then I cried completely, and then I said: «I’ll tell you something: I hope you go bankrupt and stay unemployed! Then you can sit there with your passive arms, “says Tønne, who was proud that he had made fun of the arms.

Then he ran to another airline and yelled for help. They fixed, fixed and tipped, then she and her daughter flew back to Trondheim.

– I have family here. So it’s very nice with the grandparents, and this is the city that I grew up in. The yearning for home became too strong, says Tønne by phone from Trondheim.

Several times the family has been in the city for a long time.

– It is nice. I’ve always been jealous of Sigrid (Bonde Tusvik) who is from Oslo. You can show your children all things: where you have lived and where things have happened. So I can do that in Trondheim, he says.

– I had to grow up. I broke up with Trondheim when I was 16 and had to grow up for us to get back together.
