– I was so happy! Although it is not a singing competition, I have loved being the troll, says Ulrikke Brandstorp (25) to Good Evening Norway after he took the victory in the Maskorama final.
By Saturday, it finally became clear that Brandstorp is behind Trollet’s voice.
Each week, a contestant has been revealed, until Trollet, Elgen and Vikingen made it to the final.
– For an outline
Many have guessed beforehand that it was Brandstorp who hid inside the Troll, something the production and the artist have actively worked to disprove.
He also had to when he visited Good Evening Norway in late November. He then denied the rumors that she was the Troll.
– What a ruse, I hate lying! It was cruel when I visited you at Good Evening Norway, because I’m very bad at lying, she says.
Now, the Maskorama winner hopes he won’t have to keep a secret.
– The best thing now is not to have to sneak around all the time. I’ve had a participating administrator open doors for me and finally I can say thank you, he says.
– Tip of the stick
Nicolay Ramm says that he had doubts, but that the feeling has also told him that Ulrikke Brandstorp was the Troll.
– I was surprised when he sang a duet here. Marion (Ravn, journal. Note) has been convinced all along, but I was fooled, she says.
Despite skepticism from television critics, “Maskorama” has become a viewer favorite among Norwegians. 828,000 premiered on November 7, and the show surpassed 1 million viewers during the broadcast’s fourth episode.
Ramm says that what has been most challenging has been playing an empty room with a whole new concept.
– People who want to help you guess also download you on Instagram, phone and email, he says.
Singing training in the shower
In second and third place came Markus Bailey and Herman Dahl, respectively, who have impressed with their onstage skills.
– The singing voice comes from the shower, Bailey tells Good evening Norway after the final.
– I’ve been to musicals, so I know I can keep the tone, but I don’t think it’s good, so it’s really fun that people like it, he adds.
Herman Dahl, who took the bronze, says it has been liberating to wear a costume and hide behind the Viking mask. He has also impressed with his singing skills.
– It’s very nice that people like my voice, so all the credit to the singing teacher here, who has helped us, he says.
