The night of Friday and the night until Saturday, the police had to go to parties in various places in the country. On Saturday night, more than 60 people were denounced for violating the Communicable Diseases Law at a party.

In Nannestad, the Eastern Police District broke up a private party in a well-located room just before 8pm on Friday night.

Two people in their 30s have been reported for violating covid-19 regulations after the party.

– The whole study is amazing

– We received a message from a passerby about an accumulation of several vehicles outside, and according to the reporter, he suspected a breach of the covid-19 regulations, says police superintendent Terje Marstad to TV 2.

When the police arrived at the scene, they contacted an organizer who claimed to have received permission from the municipal chief to hold a birthday party with more than 40 participants.

The municipality informs TV 2 that they have not given the party the green light after the new national measures.

-We have specified that it is subject to the situation in which the party will take place, and they have the independent responsibility to keep up to date, says the municipal chief doctor Matilde Risopatron Berg in the municipality of Nannestad.

– Surprising

The municipal superintendent says it is not the sole responsibility of the organizers to ensure that the crown’s measures are followed.

– It is striking that there are more than 40 pieces that go to an event and nobody has said anything to the organizer beforehand that there is now a national regulation that says that we are not allowed to be more than 20, he says.

He thinks it is “sad and disturbing” that one no longer thinks about how the infection has been developing lately.

– It’s a bit disturbing when it comes to more than 40 pieces in a party, it is true that several children, but there are still enough adults that it is strange that nobody has realized that what they were doing was not allowed, she says. and add:

Bergen’s director of infection control has resigned

– Everyone has an individual responsibility not to violate the crown regulations, so it is not only the organizer who should react here.

Meeting in crisis management

Berg believes that it is entirely possible for the inhabitants of the municipality to follow how the infection situation develops.

The municipal chief says that lately it has gone from being one or two cases of contagion from time to time, to the last half week to be more per day. On Saturday seven cases of contagion were reported in the municipality.

– There is enough in a municipality of almost 15,000 inhabitants, says Berg.

She says the municipality will have an extraordinary crisis management meeting on Sunday morning. At the same time, he emphasizes that this is independent of the party that the police had to end on Friday night.

– And then there is the meeting of the presidency where politicians will adopt whatever comes to mind with proposals for changes to local measures, he says.

The municipal chief says she has not had direct contact with those who organized the party.

TV 2 has tried to contact the owners of the venue where the party was held, but has received no response. TV 2 has also not been able to contact the two people who have been denounced after the party.
