On Saturday morning, many woke up to snow falling in southern Norway. There were many road users who got to experience when they hit the road.

Police are now asking people to consider car travel in the coming days.

In the eastern police district, he has gone beyond the streetlights.
– Today we had at least three streetlight collisions. It can be natural when it’s slippery, but it’s not often that we get that many, Operations Manager Svein Walle in the Eastern Police District tells NTB.
By 6 p.m., the Eastern Police had handled more than ten traffic accidents. While on the phone with NTB, there were reports of at least two new accidents. One of them was a motorist who had crashed into a lamp post.
– It went reasonably well on the E18 and E6, but it is on county roads and country roads where it is probably the most difficult. It is natural that it does not go so fast. It’s just asking people to drive according to the conditions – the problem is, it’s a little too smooth, so it gets slippery, Walle says.

Better than feared
The same message is transmitted by the operations center of the Oslo police district, which in addition to the capital is responsible for Asker and Bærum.
– Incredibly, it went well, I think we had a bit of luck since it was the second day of Christmas. There have been little accidents, but nothing that is particularly important, operations manager Svein Christian Lie tells NTB.
