The police have to pay “Tío Tornillo”

Mohammad Imran Saber (42), alias ‘Uncle Skrue’, has been fined NOK 10,000 from the State Civil Law Administration.

The civil law administration justifies the redress with the fact that the Oslo police on the social network Twitter confirmed that they had arrested a known criminal, following an armed action in Sinsen in Oslo in the summer of 2017.

In the decision of the Civil Justice Administration, it is mentioned that the police confirmed to NRK that it was Imran Saber who was arrested.

Satisfied

Attorney John Christian Elden, who represents Imran Saber, is pleased with the decision.

– It was appropriate that the police received a slap for identification via Twitter. The duty of confidentiality also applies there. Here, it also seemed to agree with the decision that the police just wanted to show muscle, arming themselves and being unnecessarily strong, says attorney Elden.

No replacement

Imran Saber had also demanded compensation for alleged economic losses. This claim was rejected, since the State Administration of Civil Law did not find it documented.

Saber was arrested by the police for violating the contact ban, which was imposed on him after a conflict with an art dealer in Vestfold.

Background policy

Oslo Police District as an arrest, and according to the State Civil Law Administration confirmed the identity of Saber, does not want to comment on the recovery of Imran “Uncle Skrue” Saber.

– We do not know the decision of the State Civil Law Administration, so it is difficult for us to comment on the case, says Senior Advisor Eirik Barstad Wilmann from Oslo Police District staff to communicate with Dagbladet.
