The main index falls 1.15 percent just after opening at 718.30 points.

The Equinor heavyweight is the most heavily traded in the minutes after opening, dropping 3.81 percent. Aker BP also starts the day in red with a 3.68 percent decline. DNO is also falling from the start, 5.51 percent.

This followed a sharp drop on Wall Street the night before, when the top three indices fell 3.1 percent on average.

The next morning there is a mixed picture on the Asian stock exchanges, with occasional small eruptions.

Fall in the price of heavy oil

At the same time, oil prices have fallen sharply. North Sea (Brent) oil is currently trading at $ 16.63 per barrel on the spot market, up 15.41 percent per day.

The US light oil price falls (WTI) also falls on Wednesday morning, falling 18.53 percent on the day to $ 10.63 a barrel.

– The recent collapse in oil prices topped the news in Asia tonight, just as it did in the United States last night. It is important to note that this extremely historical situation is due to bottlenecks in the transport chain (oil cargo) more than anything, writes Nordnet analyst Roger Berntsen in a comment.
