Oilers Stavanger – Vålerenga 3-1

After going under, the Stavanger Oilers turned the game around against Vålerenga and won 3-1 at DNB Arena.

NHL loan officer Rudolf Balcers of the Ottawa Senators scored the goal 2-1 for the Oilers in the third period, before Dan Kissel put the finishing touches to work late in the game.

– It was only to fight and put the puck in the goal. I think we have played the last three games well. Now I feel like we have a different feeling in the team. Now we move on, Rudolf Balcers tells TV 2.

Vålerenga thus remains in third place, with six points to Frisk Asker at the top. The greasers go from eighth to seventh and stand with 15 points.

Kalle Eklund sent Vålerenga to the lead in the second period with his first goal of the season, but the Oilers only spent two and a half minutes responding to Sander Dilling Hurrød, who scored the second of the season.

– There is nothing to say about it based on games and opportunities. A well deserved draw for Stavanger Oilers, says TV 2 commentator Espen Ween.

After a strong start to the season, the Stavanger Oilers have come back to life. After the hiatus in November, the Oilers started with two straight wins. Both Narvik and Lillehammer were beaten.

Vålerenga, on the other hand, had been in good shape and suffered two losses in eleven games, before meeting the Oilers on Thursday night.
