Crew questioned

The man did not have identity documents, but must have told the crew he was from Syria. The first message from the crew was that the man had jumped overboard.

– We are investigating the case extensively and cannot say more while the investigation is ongoing. We now have police officers on the ship, who are conducting more interrogations of the crew, as well as investigations of the crime scene, Opdal Iversen told NRK on Monday.

The search involved both helicopter ambulances, coast guards and several boats, which ended at 6 pm on Saturday without findings. So seven and a half hours had passed since the man disappeared.

Beach search

– After the raid, the Armed Forces conducted a raid on the beach in a huge area. The search has been canceled for the moment, but not completed, Iversen informs Fremover.

The police are working together with Kripos, the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration and Interpol in the hope of identifying the man so that they can later notify relatives and relatives.
