The police claim that the person in question is a Norwegian in his 60s living in the area. Furthermore, they write that the man reported the police guard in Lillestrøm on Wednesday evening, after seeing the search in the media.

The so-called “man in the hood” has given an explanation of his own movements to the police and has submitted documentation verifying the information. The documentation refers, among other things, to electronic clues. The man’s explanation is also supported by witnesses.

The police claim that the man has explained that he has not received the registration before, and that it was only on Wednesday night that he learned that he could be the person the police wanted to contact.

The man has no known connection to the case and has been examined, according to police.

“The hooded man”

The man was captured in surveillance photos on the same day that Anne-Elisabeth Hagen went missing, October 31, 2018. The man moved from a parking lot on the Lørenskog ice rink and walked in the direction of Sloraveien, where Hagen was. before disappearing.

In surveillance photos, the man wears a thin bubble jacket or protective jacket, gloves and wears a hood over his head, hence the “hood man”. It may also appear that your face is partially covered.

Until Wednesday morning, Police Inspector Agnes Beate Hemiø stated that the police found it suspicious that the man had not informed them. At the same time, the police stated that they had mapped 122 locations both in Norway and other countries in connection with the investigation of the disappearance case.

It was on October 31, 2018 when Anne-Elisabeth Hagen disappeared from her home in Sloraveien in Lørenskog. Her husband Tom Hagen (70) is charged with murder or complicity in murder.

In addition, a 32-year-old man, called the “cryptoman”, is charged with kidnapping and the police have accused a relative of Tom Hagen of influencing witnesses.

The Hagen family insist that Anne-Elisabeth has been kidnapped and has taken a hard line against the police investigation.
