NEW YORK (Dagbladet): The German-American duo Roy Horn and Siegfried Fischbacher became famous for their show in Las Vegas, where they performed magic and tiger shows.
Horn had recently tested positive for coronavirus, and a spokesperson told NBC News on Friday that he died of complications from covid-19.
– Roy was a warrior all his life, including these last days. I offer my sincere gratitude to the team of doctors, nurses, and staff at Mountain View Hospital who heroically worked against this insidious virus that finally took Roy’s life, “Fischbacher told the television channel.
In 2003, Roy was attacked by a 180-pound heavy tiger during their show at The Mirage in Las Vegas. The tiger grabbed Horn’s neck and pulled him off the stage.
The incident caused Horn to be partially paralyzed and Sigfried and Roy had to resign.
