– We are not a big place, so it is clear that this affects us. The possibility that we will meet many of those affected is great, Gjerdrum Mayor Anders Østensen (Labor) told NRK on Wednesday evening.
When asked by the press how Anders Østensen feels as mayor knowing that many people are still not taken into account, he is heavily influenced:
The police still hope to find survivors in the area of the landslide, and the search operation is still organized accordingly. Among other things, helicopter heat search cameras are used.
Eleven people are not yet counted.
– We can only hope that many of them are traveling or in the cabin or something similar. At the same time, we know that many do not travel as much now due to the situation in the crown, the mayor tells NTB.

About 900 have been evacuated so far, but up to 1,500 in total can expect to be evacuated in the area around the landslide, according to the mayor.
– The most important tasks for the crisis team in the future now are to provide good information about what life will be like tomorrow, but also in a week or a month. Of course, it is difficult for us to know, but we must look for those who have been evacuated to hotels and try to give them the best possible information, Østensen says.
– It forms an image
The number of people who have gone unaccounted for after the landslide has dropped to eleven. Now the police have given them missing status.
– Now the investigation has worked a bit and we have received information that makes us form an image of these people who we now say are missing, says Task Manager Roger Pettersen in the Eastern Police District on Wednesday night.
In the past, the police have said that the people have not been counted.
At 20 o’clock on Wednesday night, the number dropped from twelve to eleven after one of the twelve was found in the hospital.
– Of course, we keep all the cards open so that eventually more will appear, says Pettersen.
