The rescue operation continues: – History has taught us that you can survive for much more than six days.

– Dogs have marked objects today, but no finds have been made, police task leader Ivar Myrbø said Monday night.

A few hours later, the message arrived that a dog had been rescued alive from the landslide, almost six days after the landslide.

This is confirmed by the vet Stefan Feterik at the Home Vet in Gjerdrum at VG. The dog was rescued Monday night.

– He is in good condition and has received treatment. I don’t have the opportunity to provide more information on this at this time, says Feterik.

Previously, the Dalmatian Zajka and the Miniature Poodle Milli were rescued from the landslide.

– This is still a rescue operation, says COO Myrbø.

Halvard Stave, Medical Director, says the following about the chances of finding survivors now:

– All landslides are different. You can survive for a long time under collapsed buildings, says Stave.

It says that there are a number of prerequisites that must be met:

– There must be a cavity where it can stay, it must not be too damaged, it must have insulating material to keep warm, and it must have a drink after so long.

– Less than six days have passed, and it is early, when it comes to collapsed buildings. Therefore, the focus is also on these collapsed buildings, and we have to find out if there may be people in these cavities, says Stave.

– History has taught us that you can survive much more than six days, but no two injury sites are the same, says Stave.
