OLAVSGAARD / OSLO (Dagbladet): Redir Amin (25) grew up on Ask in Gjerdrum municipality.
The last few days have left clear traces of the meetings of Dagbladet, 25, at the evacuation hotel.

Amin sits and drinks coffee from a cardboard cup in one of the dining rooms of the grand hotel on the outskirts of Lillestrøm. He was rushed there on Wednesday, following the major landslide, which took place in the middle of his own neighborhood.

– Raskanten is only 15-20 meters from the apartment, he says.
– I’m happy to be alive, he adds.
His thoughts now turn to those who have not yet come into contact with their loved ones. Ten people are still missing.
I had to escape
Redir was watching a movie when the neighbor, an elderly woman, suddenly called.
– Hope fades a bit
He said we had to go, says the 25-year-old.
Along with several others from the neighborhood, young and old, families with children and the elderly, he and his mother went to the town hall in Ask. From there, they were taken by bus to Olavsgaard, where they will now remain indefinitely until the situation clears up.

It may be a long time before you can go home. Today, the authorities once again sounded the alarm, after large cracks were found in the ground a few kilometers from yesterday’s great landslide.
The actual landslide area where Redir’s house was located remains so unstable that even rescue teams can’t get in without a helicopter.
The consistency of the clay in the area is similar to yogurt, police said earlier.
– How do you expect to return?
– I’m not sure. Right now I’m scared, says Redir.
