As of Saturday, you must be in quarantine no matter where you traveled in Denmark.
The Foreign Office now announces that the Zeeland and North Jutland regions in Denmark will also be colored red. Already on September 9, these exceeded Norway’s infection requirement, but only on Saturday they will be red. The rest were red from before.
Other changes:
- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises against travel that is not strictly necessary to Estonia, as well as to the Södra Savolax (Etelä-Savo) region in Finland.
- The Foreign Ministry also follows the FHI recommendations and removes the entry quarantine for Iceland and Liechtenstein, which turns from red to yellow on the infection map.
- In Sweden, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs removes the entry quarantine for the Kalmar and Blekinge regions, and in Finland it removes the entry quarantine for the Kainuu (Kainuu) region.
On Tuesday, FHI recommended that Poland should change color from red to yellow, but Poland remains red in the government’s new travel council. In the press release on new travel advice, the government writes that FHI has issued a new advice on Poland:
– FHI today proposed a continuous entry quarantine for Poland. The background is rising infection rates in recent days, a lot of travel activity from Poland to Norway and more import cases, they write.
Here you can see which travel tips apply at the moment:
- What does it mean to be red? The government has established a limit of 20 infected per 100,000 inhabitants in total during the last 14 days. Countries that rise above this can be colored red. Anyone traveling from there must be quarantined.
- How is it determined? NIPH advises the government, which then decides and decides which countries / regions will be colored red / yellow. FHI gives advice every week on whether something should be red and closed. But vacancies (that is, to color some yellow) are only considered every two weeks.
The changes will take effect starting at midnight on Saturday, September 19.
