Outside of “The Farm”: – Tired of being so cynical
The embroidery in which Karianne Kopperstad (27) and Sindre Nyeng (23) have spent many hours, gets the main role in the conspiracy of Inger Cecilie «IC» Grønnerød (47) to prevent the great farmer Daniel Viem Årdal (30) get another final knife.
When the other participants have left the room, Grønnerød rushes to a burning candle and holds it next to the embroidery, which immediately catches fire. Then he quickly leaves the house, and the embroidery remains like this, burning on the floor.
In the episode, they both watch and hear parts of the production in action, and the embroidery is quickly thrown into the outer courtyard. The other participants then come running when they see heavy smoke in front of the house.
– About jokes
Grønnerød, however, declares his innocence and the culprit is not revealed in the episode. The great farmer, however, is furious.
– I shit on the weekly homework, but I don’t light anything inside a house, he hisses on the dining room table.
Viem Årdal tells Dagbladet that it was a “lynching.”
– You think “is this the way it should be, should we be allowed to do those things?” This is not how it should be. One wonders where the border is going, I think it has already passed, he says.
The profile of the “farm” badly damaged
He has seen the episode tonight and says he was very shocked when the perpetrator came to light. Today he has no contact with her.
– It’s part of the sabotage game, okay. But I think that the IC itself understands that what it did was over the line, I don’t have to be the one to call and tell it.
– Dritekkelt
Several also react to the fact that the saboteur simply turned on the embroidery inside.
– Being so beheaded that you light something inside a house where there are two small children in an attic. In fact, I have no words for it, he is completely ill, says Kopperstad in the episode.
She tells Dagbladet that she took it very badly when she found out who was behind it. He had defended Grønnerød and thought the two were together when the embroidery was lit. She estimates that it took six to seven minutes from when she left the house until the participants discovered the fire outside.
However, it was the lie that affected her the most.
– I got so sick and nauseous that he lied right to my face and talked shit about who else it could be. It was shit, she says.
“The Farm” -Thors turning point: – A crisis in life
Kopperstad has also not had any contact with Grønnerød after the participation.
Believe the sabotage was justifiable
Grønnerød herself claims that the sabotage was carried out after receiving the green light from production and that she had made sure everything was safe.
– I told the production from the beginning about this plan, which was what I wanted to do, so that security and everything would be taken care of, he tells Dagbladet.
She also claims that there was a pot of water near the illuminated embroidery. However, he understands the reaction of the other participants.
– They did not know that this had been completely safe, and it was more dramatic than they had anticipated. It is natural to get angry when you are afraid.
Grønnerød is also chosen as the first champion in Wednesday’s episode, but this is not due to sabotage, as it is not yet known if she is behind him.
The profile “farm” has married
Misunderstood
Show editor Kathrine Haldorsen confirms to Dagbladet that the production was aware of the sabotage.
– There were people present in the room all the time, and it is important for us to emphasize that Inger Cecilie never endangered anything or anyone with what she did. The situation was under control the entire time. Neither the participants, nor the animals nor the houses were in danger, he writes in an email.
However, he admits that the sabotage was carried out differently than expected by the production.
“Farmen” -Karianne became unemployed
– In this case, there was a small misunderstanding between Inger Cecilie and the production about who should turn off the embroidery, which ended with the choice to remove it from home. The best solution was to remove the embroidery and get it out of the house quickly, he explains.
Painful doubts about the explanation of the production.
However, both Viem Årdal and Kopperstad are surprised that the production was involved in the sabotage beforehand.
– It is completely impossible to know how much production is involved. They had to intervene, the house would have caught fire if they hadn’t done something. I don’t know what they have agreed between them, but I think it is at least very special if the crew has been involved in the sabotage, says Kopperstad.
Viem Årdal thinks it is obvious that the embroidery fire was not cleared in advance as the crew members had to kick it out of the house.
– I don’t think production was in full control, or that there was a kettle next to it. They say there was no danger, but parts of the embroidery are on fire. It is a very old house, with flammable curtains, so I don’t understand how to light something there safely. Fortunately, it turned out well, he says.
Outside of “The Farm”: – Mocked
However, TV 2 denies that the production deliberately participated in the sabotage, and explains that they do not promote this either, but that the participants themselves are responsible for both the idea and the implementation.
– Sabotage weekly assignments is part of the game on the farm and occurs every season. Inger Cecile didn’t put anyone in danger either. We knew it and everything was under control, Haldorsen responds.
However, he says that all participants were reminded of fire safety after the incident.
