– The rescue helicopter is on the way with a man to Haukeland. It has been underwater for 45 minutes, says operations manager Knut Dahl-Michelsen at 12.30.

At 11:21 am, the police were notified that a car with two men had ended up in the water at a Kalvåg pier in Bremanger. At 12.04, the car was picked up.

The other man who made landfall is transported by air ambulance to Førde hospital.

Police confirm in a press release that there were two men in the car and that no more people are being searched.

– They picked up the car and found a person in the car. Life-saving first aid is on the way, rescue leader Eirik Walle at the Main Rescue Center in southern Norway told BT at 12.10 on Monday.

– The car is about ten meters deep. Kalvåg fire crews carry out rescues on the surface, fire chief Robert Endestad in Florø previously told BT.

Operations Manager Knut Dahl-Michelsen in the West Police District says they were notified at 11:21.

– One called and said a car had ended up in the water. He had observed two people in the car. One has landed. We fear that a person has been with the car in the water, says Dahl-Michelsen at 12 o’clock.

Ambulance, local police, rescue boat, air ambulance, fire service divers and rescue helicopter are on site.

The police operations manager states in a press release that a person disembarked on his own, was treated by health personnel.
