Several people at one point did not get out of a car that had collided with a deep-water pond in Lørenskog on Tuesday night.
Operations manager Eirik Sannes explains that a lot of precipitation and a poor evaluation are the cause of the incident.
– It wasn’t very dramatic. There is a famous place at Lørenskog station that has been flooded. The driver has made an extremely bad assessment and thought it was shallower than it actually was, he says.
The car must have been in the water pond with water up to the car windows.
– We are interested in hearing what evaluations the driver has made, says Sannes.
In all, there were three people in the car. The firefighters have taken them out and the dam lifts the car.
Due to high water levels, the road is now closed.
Sannes asks people to be careful when they go out to drive.
– There have been several floods in our district. Those who are familiar with the area know which places are more prone to flooding than others. Everyone should do an evaluation before trying, he says.
RV. 163 Lørenskogveien is closed in both directions at Lørenskog station due to flooding. All. route by E6.
