Piers Morgan (55) ended the day on “Good morning Great Britain”. Now he “speaks”.
The news came Tuesday night that the controversial host had resigned from his position on the breakfast television show. It was the ITV television channel that reported it. Morgan himself only posted a photo of a watch on Twitter.
The uproar took place in the wake of his very direct and critical descriptions of Duchess Meghan. More than 40,000 viewers are said to have filed a complaint with the channel.
Still negative
On Wednesday morning, Morgan reports:
«On Monday I said that I did not believe what Meghan Markle said in the interview with Oprah. Now I have had time to reflect on this, and I still do not believe in it. »
He goes on to say that if his followers believe in the Duchess, so be it.
«Freedom of speech is something I am willing to die for. Thanks for all the love and all the hate. Now I’m going to spend more time with my own opinions».
He has also attached a photo of Winston Churchill with one of his quotes on freedom of expression.

Early Tuesday, Morgan had an interview with Duchess Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle (76). Many on social media reacted to the fact that Father Markle stood up for the man who has been so relentlessly skeptical of his daughter.
On Tuesday morning, he also completely ran over to Morgan live on “Good Morning Britain,” precisely because of a heated discussion about Meghan. He stormed out of the television studio.
There have been riots around Morgan and often most recently in February when more than 1,000 British television employees sent an open letter to ITV, accusing the notorious profile of harassment.
Piers Morgan is known for flinging his lip in one direction or another, be it against royalty, superstars, or the common man on the street.
The 55-year-old is also known as a judge on “America’s Got Talent” and “Britain’s Got Talent.”
