Such are the new rules of the crown

On Wednesday, almost two weeks ago, the good news came that the government would make changes to the Covid-19 regulations. This is to provide relief in several of the national coronary restrictions.

The changes took effect on Monday, October 12.

But at the same time that the government announced the relief, it was emphasized that municipalities with local outbreaks should consider stricter measures than national ones.

The population of the municipality of Oslo is currently the only one that has to be patient with both grassroots sports and drinking stops.

Opens for training with close contact

– We are now in a different situation than the one we closed in March. Municipalities have equipped emergency preparedness and have shown that they can handle local outbreaks. This means that we can better target measures, so that the burden on the individual and society is as small as possible, said Minister of Health and Care Services Bent Høie (H) when the relief was announced in late September.

He added that the relief presupposes that municipalities with local outbreaks take tough measures to gain control, and that the measures may be relevant to reintroduce in municipalities in case of local outbreaks.

Monday’s relay includes a step-by-step reopening of adult grassroots sports.

In grassroots sports for adults over 20 years old, close contact training can now be resumed for athletes who are included in phase 1.

The gradual reopening of adult grassroots sports will take place in three to five phases. The decision on who is included in the different phases has been made in collaboration with the Norwegian Sports Confederation and the Olympic and Paralympic Committee.

From midnight to Tuesday, the national bar stop will also get up from kl. 24, which was introduced on August 7.

However, the government emphasizes that the municipalities themselves should consider the need to limit the time of service locally, if the contagion situation so dictates.

Starting today, 600 people can also be present at the same time at outdoor events, divided into groups of up to 200 people. The organizer is responsible for ensuring that there is at least 2 meters of distance between people of different groups at all times.

In addition, one seat between people is now sufficient at events with fixed seats.

Some exceptions

In Arendal and Froland, around 60 corona cases were detected during September and October. The infection situation here is still considered under control, and the municipality of Froland repealed its local infection control rules this weekend.

As of Tuesday, October 13, the municipality of Arendal will also follow national regulations.

The Municipality of Oslo, for its part, has decided to continue the local restrictions indefinitely. Therefore, the midnight bar stop will continue to apply to the population of Oslo.

During Thursday’s press conference, Councilor Raymond Johansen did not rule out that there will be more restrictions in the capital as a result of the contagion situation.

Oslo does not recommend that more than ten people meet in a private context. The municipality of Drammen and several other municipalities in the capital do the same.

The national advice on the number that can be collected in a private context is, by comparison, up to 20 people.

To stay up-to-date on current infection control rules, it is recommended that you follow your own municipality’s website.

The Norwegian Health Directorate informs Dagbladet that they expect an overview from municipalities and county governors of the local measures in place in a short time.
