On Tuesday, Nav registered 6,000 more job applicants than last week.
In total, there are now 194,600 completely unemployed, partially unemployed and job seekers in Nav measures.
– The sharp increase is largely due to more layoffs as a result of tighter infection control measures in Oslo, Bergen and Viken, among other places. In the last week, an average of one new person has registered as a job seeker on Nav every minute, says director of labor and social welfare Hans Christian Holte in a press release.
Preliminary figures show that 106,700 registrants are registered as completely unemployed. It constitutes 3.8 percent of the workforce and is 5,500 more than last week.
The number of partially unemployed has increased by 200 people, while in Nav there have been 300 more job seekers in the measures.
