In July, it became known that Petter Stordalen had found love with the Swedish Märta Elander Wistén (30).

Elander Wistén grew up in Gothenburg, but lives in Stockholm.

In an interview with Aftonbladet, Stordalen says that Wistén visited Oslo this spring.

– I said that this may not be the right time, that I was not my best because of this crisis. He said he would still come for a couple of days, Stordalen told the newspaper.

Was locked up

On March 12, just days after Wistén’s arrival in Oslo, the government introduced the most intrusive measures in peacetime to combat the coronavirus.

– Märta arrived and Norway fell into lockdown. She stayed for 100 days, we were in the same house 24/7. She changed my approach to all the terrible things that happened. The crown has not only been negative, he tells Aftonbladet.

The two had known each other for a long time before love really began to blossom. Stordalen has previously described the relationship as “fantastic.”

– It has been a very special moment, but we have also had the opportunity to get to know each other well and, finally, truly fall in love. So while business has been challenging, privacy has improved. We had a fantastic time together, Stordalen has told VG.

Stordalen’s private fortune, including the Nordic Choice, Hurtigruten and Ving hotels, has been affected during the crown crisis.

According to Kapital, the fortune has been reduced by more than NOK 10 billion.

In March, it emerged that the Stordalen hotel empire lost NOK 250 million as a result of the crisis in the tourism industry.

Ving’s airline, owned by Stordalen, Sunclass Airlines, is laying off up to 200 employees in Denmark and just over 170 in Sweden.
