The test flight with the prototype of a full-scale version of the Starship, SN8 (Starship number 8), took place in Texas on Thursday night.
The craft reached an altitude of 12.5 kilometers and was 4 minutes and 45 seconds in the air.
The former owners have smaller prototypes of the vascular wart test. They have only come a few hundred meters in the air. Former employees this week, there were also attempts that were interrupted.
SN9, the next prototype, will be completed soon.
The goal is for Starship to be used for everything from satellite deployment to transporting humans and cargo to the Moon and Mars.
