The commission that determines the form of presidential debates said Thursday that the second presidential debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump will take place on video, to ensure the health and safety of all those involved.

The president himself does not believe it is contagious “at all” and claims he is healthy enough to hold election rallies, although he is limited by quarantine rules, he said in an interview with Fox News.
Now he only takes steroids
Donald Trump claims that he has stopped most of the treatment for Covid-19, but is still on steroids, Reuters reports.
Trump’s doctors have treated him with the steroid dexamethasone, the drug reduces inflammation that can be triggered by coronary infection in the lungs and prevents the immune system from racing.
The steroid is a so-called corticosteroid and is closely related to drugs that many Norwegian patients are familiar with, namely hydrocortisone or prednisone, explains Rikshospitalet’s chief physician and specialist in anesthesiology and intensive care, Jon Henrik Laake.
This group of drugs has a general anti-inflammatory effect, but it does not treat the virus itself, Laake tells VG.
– Treatment is only relevant for a minority of patients who need supplemental oxygen or a respirator. If American doctors have adhered to guidelines on when to use dexamethasone, it indicates that Trump has been perceived as seriously ill, the intensive care physician told VG earlier this week.
In a video greeting Wednesday, Trump thanks the disease he’s infected with for testing the experimental drug Regeneron.

The White House has been characterized in the last week by a major outbreak. According to the VG overview, at least 25 people associated with the outbreak have tested positive.

According to the New York Times, the White House is doing little to investigate the scope and source of the outbreak that has now affected them. They didn’t want help with infection detection from the American Institute of Public Health CDC.
White House spokesman Judd Deere said in a statement to CNN that they have a separate medical team of 30 people and that they are responsible for working on the outbreak.
– The White House has plans and procedures that incorporate current CDC guidelines and the best ways to limit Covid-19 infection. The White House has also established a robust infection control program, it said in a statement, adding that the CDC is “embedded” in the work.

Unclear about the outbreak
Several have flagged the ceremony as a potential high-profile event. At least 13 of the more than 150 participants have been subsequently diagnosed with corona, shows the VG overview.
One event in particular, the ceremony of Donald Trump’s Supreme Court candidate Amy Coney Barret, in the White House’s Rose Garden is linked to the outbreak.
Several of the subtractors have now tested positive.
