On Sunday, a snow warning was issued across much of southern Norway on Tuesday night, and Tuesday morning was cold and white in several places. At 7 o’clock, the Eastern Police District wrote this on Twitter:

Among other things, the cameras show snow on the roads in the morning, for example at Gardermoen airport in Oslo, Darbu in Øvre Eiker, Lierskogen in Lier and at Skui in Bærum.

The Eastern Police District reports that as of Tuesday morning they have received several reports of traffic accidents in Romerike. Among other things, there have been incidents in which cars hit the guardrail, fences and streetlights.

The police have encouraged motorists who drive on summer tires to switch to winter tires or to abandon the car.

– All Veivesen teams are out. So far everything is going very well, there hasn’t been a lot of snow, but there will be some melting snow, says traffic operator Anne Hårstad in Veitrafikksentralen Øst.

Tuesday morning road accidents have happened a bit everywhere in the eastern part of the country, according to Hårstad, but perhaps especially north of Oslo.

During the morning the problems also began in the capital:
