Forecasters have warned that the first snow of the season may hit southern Norway on Monday and Tuesday. The Road Traffic Control Center asks motorists to make sure they have the right tires.

From Monday afternoon, more than 300 meters of snow are expected in Agder, Ryfylke, Dalane and Hardanger, while on Monday afternoon and evening until Tuesday, sleet and snow are expected in Vestfold and Telemark, Oslo, Viken and Innlandet.

Five to six inches of snow is expected in the last three counties in areas where everything comes as snow, and the Meteorological Institute has issued a yellow hazard warning.

Eventually the snow turns to rain.
