Snåsamannen in a bitter money dispute with former friends

Now friendship hangs by a fine thread.

After the tour is over, the parties strongly disagree on how the proceeds from the total 15 shows will be used.

Gjerstad believes that the money should go to the Gjerstad Foundation, and that this was agreed even before the collaboration began.

This is disputed by singer Therese Ulvan and former police officer Øyvind Løvrød.

Now the dispute has legal consequences, writes Trønder-Avisa.

“We think it is unfortunate”

The Gjerstad Foundation has sued Ulvan and Løvrød for a six-figure amount. The foundation’s attorney, Cato Schiøtz, confirms that he filed the subpoena.

“We think it is a pity that the collaboration with Joralf Gjerstad has a sequel like this one,” the other party wrote in an SMS to the newspaper.

Joralf Gjerstad, better known as “Snåsamannen”, is from Snåsa in Trøndelag. He is often referred to as a person with supernatural abilities.

He is said to have qualities as a psychic and has healed many Norwegians with his “warm hands”.

– I didn’t get a penny after the tour.

Gjerstad has treated tens of thousands of people for nearly 50 years and many have said they have been cured or soothed by Gjerstad’s warm hands.

The parties to the bitter conflict met to mediate in the Conciliation Board, but this was not successful.

– Joralf’s intention was always for the benefit to go to the Gjerstad Foundation. He himself did not get a single penny after the tour, the foundation’s board chairman Ivar Andreas Asbøll tells Trønder-Avisa.

Will not be tested by scientists

Over the years, various famous people have sought help in Gjerstad. Among others, Petter Northug is said to have asked him for help over the phone during the 2009 Ski Tour.

Former State Minister Bjarne Håkon Hanssen said in 1997 that Snåsamannen had cured his son of colic.

Gjerstad himself has refused to be tested by scientists or other experts for his supernatural abilities.

The 94-year-old has previously said that as a child he understood that he had abilities beyond the ordinary, and that this runs in the family.

He must have tried to suppress these abilities, before he finally decided to reconcile himself to this.
