Anita Skorgan completed the “Live from the Central” concert on Tuesday night telling an anecdote about the late Jahn Teigen and singing several of the ex’s songs.
Just before the end of the “Anita Skorgan Live from the Central” concert, Skorgan told one of his many stories about Jahn Teigen.
– The end is near, but we probably won’t get out of a certain ex-husband, I think, says Skorgan.
She talks about the first time she was at NRK to act. It was in 1975, when he accepted a pop song he had never heard before, called “Hastverk”.
– I was at NRK, just 16 years old. They had put a violent dress on me. I felt completely lost, everything was strange. Jahn Teigen suddenly stood up and approached me. He saw my loneliness. We should sing the same song. I’ve never sung a song before with a microphone in my hand, says Skorgan.
She notes that she is from Bærum and had never been to the rock community and wondered how she would perform the song. Teigen offered to let her hear his version.

– At home, they had been sprayed with puff pastry and everything. It was the first time that her daughter was on television. But first they had to go through Jahn Teigen with lots of howling and screaming in five songs. So before his daughter appeared on TV, Dad had gone out to the garage. It was too strong a diet. So what do you think of the mood when I got home a couple of years later and said “I’m going to marry him here,” laughs Skorgan.
Then it started with “My First Love” and a mix of songs with “Friendly”, “Cheek to Cheek”, “The Most Beautiful That Exists” and “Mil by Miles”, before the last song became “For Our Earth “as she says in our day, she makes him think of Greta Thunberg.
Tuesday’s concert was part of the Kronerrolling concept for Sentralen, which supports musicians.

Teigen was buried in Tønsberg Cathedral on March 11. There, both Skorgan and his daughter Sara Teigen Skorgan (35) paid tribute to Jahn Teigen by singing.
Teigen and Skorgan were perhaps Norway’s largest celebrity couple in the 1980s. Teigen and Skorgan were married between 1984 and 1987, but they remained lifelong friends. After the break in 1987, not least in recent years, Teigen was active on stage, they performed a lot together and spoke warmly of each other in interviews, both together and separately.
